Not technically a residency program, since no housing is provided, although considered by the National Park Service as part of their programs for working artists. Rent-free studios on the grounds of a former amusement park (artists must pay utilities fee); artists must provide classes, studio tours, demonstrations for field trips and festivals. Funky atmosphere; lots of public interaction. 9 residencies of 3 years each and 3 of 1 year each. Open to individuals or groups of 2D and 3D visual artists, photographers, craftspeople, performers, and musicians. (visual and performing arts)
